Democratic State Convention

To tkr. Democratie Electors of the State of Michigan: The democrats of Michigan wül meet in state convention in the city of Bay City, on Tuesday, the 25th day of August, 1896, at 12 o'clock nobn, for the purpose of nominating party candidates for the state ofneers : Governor, Lieutenant-Governor, Seeretary of State, State Treasurer, Auditor-General, Attorney-General, Commissioner of State land Office, Superintendent of Public Instroction, Meraber of the State Board of Education. The convention will also nomínate two Presidential Electors-at-Larire, and two Altérnate Presidential Electors-at-Larse, and like candidatos for each of the twelve congreseional districts of the state; and it will transact sucn other business as may come betore it. The democratie party invites all frieuds of the principies enunciated by the party in its national platform, and of the candidates nominated at the Chicago convention, and all men who have participated in the achievement of the great victories of the democratie party or whodesireto sbarein thedemocratio triumph of this year, to particípate in the election of delesates to thi? convention .
