The corner stone of the new Arbeiter Verein hall in Ypsilauti was laid Thursday afternoon of last week, over 300 people being gathered to witness the ceremonies. Judge Babbitt presided over the meeting, John Terns thanked the people fov their interest in the society, and John P. Kirk delivered one of the best of the laany addresses he has made in Ypsilanti He gave a brief history of the Arbeiter society, the purposes of its organization and explained fully the many good features of it, closing with an earnest appeal to the members to continue the good work and expressiug his desire to forever see them prosper. Becker's Light Infantry Band, of Ann Arbor, fnrnished the music. In the evening a dance was held which passed off very pleasantly.
