Very many perse ns would like t kn'ow how to pad sheets of paper so a to ruake tablels, but do not understanc the proper composition for putting o the edges. The following recipe i vouched for by competent authority Glue, 4 pounds; glycerin, 2 pouuds linseed oil, one-hali' pound ; sug;ir, one quarter pound; auiiine dyes in suft cient quiuicity to color. ïhc glue i sof tened by soaking it in a little col water, then dissolved, together with th sugar, in the glyceriu by aid of liéa over a water bath. To this the dyes ai added, after which the oil is well stil red. It is used hot.
