Henry Trolz spent Snnday in Bridgewatei'. J. J. Walter lost a valuable horse last week Miss May Symers is visiting at D. M. Buroh's. E. M. Pierce has begun school in the Cowan district. C. A. Bnllard and farnily have returned to Wolf Lake. Elnier Sükworth expects to teach at Rowe Corners this winter. Mra. George Kirkwood is sufïering frora au attack of malaria fever. Geo. Kuhl has been shipping soine flne peaches to Detroit recently. Mr. and Mrs. M. T. Proat are entertaining their daunghter, Mrs. Besimer, of Jackson. The nnrnber of children of school age in district No. 2 is 55. Distriot No. 1 follows close with 50. Parties from Cambridge are thresbing rye and baling the straw for shipment to eastern nurseries. Mrs. Wm. Rowe, who has been visiting here for the past three weeks, has returned to her home in Detroit. Miss Flora Renau was unable to' begin her school at Rogers Corners, owing to a severe attack of inflammation of the eyes. Dr. Torrey is treatiug her. Mrs. Widmeyer and J. J. Walter were called to Clinton on Friday to attend the funeral of their sister, Mrs. Christina Schneirle, who died suddenly of lockjaw. Several Sharon boys and girls are attending school at neighboring villages. Lila Keeler and Anna Uphaus are at Manchester, and James Pierce at Grass Lake. The latter rides a new wheel.
