Prat McKay, of Detoit, is visiting Milan friends. JVIr. H. C. Sill has moved into his fine new store. Miss Graoe Debenham is visitng frieads in Pern, Ind. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Kouse are visiting friends in Saline. Mrs. L. Clark is in Toledo pnrchasing her fall inilinery. Atty. W. Murray went to Detroit the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Dodge are entertaining guests fiom Ithioa. Mrs.B. M. Cranath left Saturday for her home in North Dakota. Miss Millie Hitohoock is in Detroit purohasing her fall millinery. Miss May and Clara McGregor are teaching school in Vermoutville. Prof. and Mrs. W. Babcock returned Monday to Agricultural college. Ray Fuloher had an interesting birthday party Monday afternoon. The Milan High B. B. T. will altend the Dundee fair in full force. F.Eorison and F. Edwards left Monday morning for the Agricaltural college. Mrs. A. B. Smith and Miss Alice Allen are doing the Press Association excursión. Several of the Milan people did themselves the honor of attending the Dnndee fair. Rev. H. F. Shier will be the pastor of the West Brancfa M.E. ohnrch for the ; coming year. Editor Warren, of the Saline Observer, gave his AÜlan friends a pleasant tea Tuesday. Hon. C. E. Bently will speak on "'The issues oL the oampaigu " Sepe. -24, at Gray's opera house. The L. O. T. Al. 's harvest home fes:ival was a grand snecess, the snpper ,vas toothtsorne and the program fine. JIis. B. M. Cranath and Mrs. G. B. Williams were the guests of Prof. and Mrs. C. M. Fuller, at Mooreville Thursday. Mrs. W. H. Whitniarsh and daughtur, Irao, left for Ann Arbor Monday, where the latter will return to her scboolwork in the Ann Arbor high school. The opera house was well filled Monday evening to listen to the speeches of Gen. Spakling and B. i Parker, of Monroe City, who presented the gold side of the coin question according to the light they had received. They elaborated on the pros aod cons of tbe question and held the attention of the audience the entire evening. The -Milan Cornet Band discoursed sweet music and the hall was finely decorated.
