Mr. Karl C. Kern, one of Auu Arbor's popular ruail carriers, and Miss Eimna C. Lutz, vvere manied Tuesday evening at the home of the bride's pareuts, Mr. aud Mrs. Jobii G. Lutz, 26 Second st. , by Eev. A. L. Nicklas, pastor of Zion Lutheran churob, in the presence of relatives and friends of the contracting partios, among whom were Mr. and Mrs. Philip Lutz, of Marshall, and Karl aud Miss Sophie Kraft, of Detroit. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Lydia Lutz, and Mr. Karl Kraft acted as best man. After the oeremony a fine wedding snpper was served, and the Zion church choir rendered some excellent selections of ninsic. Many handsome and useful presents were given to tbe couple, oue of which was a haudsome piano from the grcoai to the bride. Mr. and Mrs Kern have gone to housekeeping at 61 S. Pifth ave. Before he took his present position as mail oarrier Mr. Kern was foreman of the Argus office, and as such was accorded the heartiest goodwill of his employers on aocount of his faithful service and good work, and they together with his former fellow employees uuite iu wishing him and his bride a happy aud prosperous wedded life.
