The prohibitionists met iu county convention at the court house, Ann Arbor, Saturday. It was decided not to put a county ticket In the field. The convention nbminated as candidates for the legislature, from the first district, Joseph Doane, ol' Salem; second district, Geo. S. Hathaway, of York. The followinpfdelegates were elected to the congressional convention to be held at the court house, Anu Arbor, next Tuesday: M. W. Secord. O. R. JU Crozier, Wm. J. Bird, L D. Carr, J. B. Steere, B. J. Conrad, Chas. Boylan, Wm. II. Salyer, Be v. W. H. For rest, Bert Schumacher. To the state senatorial convention, hereafter to be called, the county comtnittee, W. W. Secord, B. J. Conrad, O. K. L. Crozier and Charles Boylan, were elected delegates. A movement is on foot at Manchester for the establishment of a cheese factory at that place A short time ago an atternpt was inade by the farmers of the vicinity to organize a stock company to run a creamery on the co-operative plan, but it feil through for lack of interest.
