Three Desperate Criminals Escape

Bacremento, Cal., Sept. 29.- Three of the most desperate crimináis confined ín the county jail escaped Monday by means of a tunnel dug under one of the ■walls connecting: the jail yard with the side yard of the court house. The escaped partiis erê Frank McCarthy, William Harrlson, and E. Creelman, three of the most notorious thieves and crooks on the Pacific coast. McCarthy was recaptured but the other two escaped.
