Recent Floods In Mexico
Guadaïajara, Oct. 6. - Overland advices received he,re f rom Mazatlan state that the damage wrought by the recent floods in the state of Sinaloa was much greater than at flrst estimated. All of the rivera in that state were flooded out of their banks, and a number of villages and farmhouses were washed away. Over one hundrcd bodles have been recovered and many others are missing. The damage to shipping interests is believed to be very great, but as yet reports as to the safety of the coast vessels are very raeager. A full report of the damage done has been forwarded to President Diaz, and a public appeal will be made for funds to relieve the wants of the storm sufferers.
