Collision On The Ann Arbor Railroad
Through a rnisunderstanding of orders, a freight traiu and a work train on tbe Ann Arbor Railroad met in collision near Pettysville, Sunday morning at 1 o'clook, in a deep out and on a short curve of tbe road. Neither of the engineers saw the other train until they were not more thau five car lengths apart and it was impossible to prevent a collisiou. ïbe engineers and flremen jnmped for their lives and the fireman of tbe freight train was badly brnised by coming in contact witb a pile of stone. The engines and tenders and some cf the uars on bolh trains were demolished.
