The Choral Union series of ooncerts for 1896-97 is a strikingly fine one and embraces performanoes by some of the most celebrated musicians. It is as follows: Nov. 10, 1896- Tbe Chicago Oichestra, Theodore Thomas, conductor. Deo. 16, 1896 - The immortal "Messiah" by the Choral Union, with the assistance of a complete orchestra, the Frieze Memorial Orean and the followingsoloists: Mrs. Genevra Johnston Bishop, soprano; Mrs. May Phoenix Cameron, contralto; Mr. George J.
