High School Notes
On Wednesday tbe High schools defeated the '98 laws at footbali. Soera 6 to 0. The football team will play a game in this city tomorrow with the Orchard Lake Mlitary Academy eleven. The high school eleven played'the Normal team at Ypsilanti Saturday and were defeated after a pluckily fought game by a score of 30 0. Friday evening, Oct. 30, a dancing Darty will be given iu Nickels' hall, S. State st., for the benefit of the Atbetic Assciatiou. An admission fee of $1 a couple will be charged. The report of the librarian, Miss Nellie S. Loving, shows that on Sept. 1 there were 5,150 books in the high school library, 297 of which have t'eeu added during the year. The total number of books circulated during the year was 17,566, of periodicals 1,390. The library was open 19B days during the year. Twelve hundred and nineteen books were repaired during the year. $7.R0 was received from the sale of catalogues, and $52.12 for fines and payment for books lost and injured.
