A sewer laborar drew his wages of $40 Monday nigbt, got drunk aud theu fonnd out that all his money had disappaared. He owed $8 for board, but fiually raised $6 to apply on that. He is doubtless wiser although poorer than he was. A special meeting of Ann Arbor Lodge, No. 27, A. O. ü. W., will be held this evening. Grand Deputy John H. C. Hollings, of Detroit, will be present and the hot degree will be conferred. The matter of the ohange in the assessment olasses will also oouie np for discnssion. Fred Walker, of Ann Arbor, a nephew of Geo. Walker, the carriage inanufacturer, was in town Tnesday and rented the Stebbins building nest to the Dexter House into which he will put a bakery. Mr. Walker comes highly recommended as a firstclass baker and business man. - Dexter Leader. In its place the stub train service between this city and Toledo has been resumed tbe train leaving here at 7 :30 a. m. aud returning at 11 :30 a. m.
