George L. Unterkiroher, one of the most indnstrious and enterprising citizens of Manchester, dierl in that village on Thursday of last week, aged 75 years. Mr. Unterkiroher went to Manchestor 37 years ago, and built a tannery, which business he oondnoted for a number of years. In 1866, in connection with George Hoy, he built the briok bloek now oocupied by George Haeussler and Roller & Co. He also built the "dutoh tavern" at the time the Ypsilauti and Hillsdale railroad was built, besides otuer residenoes and business blocks later on. He eDgaged with Jas. S. Reynolds in building and running a paper mili and the destruotion of that valuable property by fire in Augast, 1874, was a severe financial loss to hirn. Still be labored on in the endeavor to leave his famüy ia comfortable circumstances untii tbe day of his death. He bas been a quiet and peaceable citizen, a member of Manohester Lodge, No. 148, F. & A. M., aud of Meridiau Chapter, No. 48, R. A. M. His funeral was oonduoted Sunday afteraoon by the Masonio fraternity.
