Philadelphia, Nov. 3.- Reports from all over Pennsylvania were to the effect that the finest kind of election weather prevailed and that a very heavy vote carne out in the morning hours. In this city the principal interest centered in the fight for the sheriff's office between the rival Republican faotions. The administration candidate is Samuel R. Ashbridge, and the anti-administration faction is represented by Alexander Crow. The latter was supported by the Democrats. Crow developed unexpected strength in wards claimed by the Ashbridge leaders, and early indications pointed to nis election if the ratio of votes in his favor continued. Pittsburg, Nov. 3.- Mild, spring-like weather with clear skies, brought out the heaviest early vote ever known in this city. In many districts it was 50 per cent. greater than usually polled in the same time. Intense partisan feeling prevailed but no serious disturbances have been reported.
