Boston, Nov. 3. - The polls opened at 6 o'clock in this city, and during the first hour in many precincts the number of the votes cast was larger than ever before in the same period. This was especially noticed in some of the wards in the more fashionable districts, where the citizens are not in the habit of hurrying to the polling places. Such conditions are reported also from all the cities of New England and on all fcides the prediction of a heavy total vote is made.
