Tbe proprietors of the Argup, in corninon with the otber newspaper men of the city, are nnder great obligations to Thomas J. Keeoh, the obliging manager of the telephone exchange, for courtesies rendered on the night of election day. The Michigan Telephoue Co. also comes in for its share of the tbanks. Not only did the company tbrow open its offioe and lines for the acoommodation of the reporters and others, but ia cases where retarns could not be received froin a place by telephone, JVlr. Keech bad them sent in by telegraph or brought in by couriers. The lunch provided shortly after miduight by Mr. Keech was a very pleasant adjunct to a hard night's work and was heartily enjoyed.
