Below is given the full text of President Cleveland's last Thanksgiving Day proclamation : "Our people should never be nnmindful of the gratitude they owe God for His watchful care whiob has shielded them from disaster, and pointed out the way to peaoe and happiness. Nor should they ever refuse to aoknowledge their proneDess to turn away from God's teachings and follow with sinful pride after rheir own devices. To tbe end that thesp thoughts bequiokened, it is fitting that on tbe day espeoially appointed we join in approaohing the throne of graoe with praise and supplioation. "Therefore, I hereb'y desígnate Thursday, November 26, to be kept and observed as a day of thanksgiviug and prayer througbout the land. On that day let all the people forego their usual occupation and assembled in their places of worship render thanks to the ruler of the universe for our preservation as a nation and deiverance from every threatened danger; for the peaoe that dwells within our l-oundaries; for our defense against disease and pestileuce; for the plenteous rewards that have followed tbe labors of husbanduien and for all otber blessings vuncbsafed us. And let us through the mediation of Him who taught ub how to pray, implore forgiveuess for our sins and a oontinuation of beavenly favor. "Let us not forget on this day the poor and needy, and by deeds of cbarity our offerings of praise will be made more aoceptable in the sight of the Fifird.
