The work on the new quarters of the Oddfellows of this city in the Heuning bloek, is being pushed rapidly forward. The deoorators aud paiuters are busily enguged in putting the finishing touches on the walls and ceilings of tbe several apartrnents, which will be finished in inpraius aud light borders. The ioorns are very couvenient, large folding doors conneoting one with the oth'er so that they can be all thrown into one large room íor social purposes. The lodge room is 433x43 feet in size, lighted with combination chandeliers for gas or electric light. The diuing roorn is 23x28 feet iu size and tbe kitoben 12x12 feet, fitted np with a gas stove, oupboards for dishes, etc. Eaoh lodge and the encampment bas a property room on the same floor as the lodge room. Tbere is also a ladies' cloak aud toilet room and a prnperty room for the Daughters of Rebekab. Over head is the cantón armory, whioh is also used for a gentlemsn's cloak and smoking room, and there is also a gentlemen's toilet room. The Odds expect to get the rooms finished this month and have deoided to have a formal opening social and dance iu the uevv rooms on the evening cf Dec. 2. This will be followed by a Beries of parties, the purpose of whicb is to sbow up the social side of this great benevolent order.
