Tbe University Masonic Clnb held its first banqoet üf thisyear in the drill room of tbe Masonio Temple, Saturday Bveuing. Betweeo 50 and 60 people, ainong whoni vvere balf a dozen invited gnests sat down to the handsoinely decorated tables and partook of the excellent menu. Oscar P. Cole, lit '96, of Berlin, N. H., occupied the toastniaster's chair and did his share of tbe entertainment in splendid style. None but Master JMasons were present and the speeches were cousequeutly mainly Masouio in their beariugs. The principal speakers were Prof. E. F. Johnson, Dr. V. C. Vanghan, Dr. VV. H. Dorrauce, Dr. F. G. Novy and Dr. W. B. Hinsdale, of the University faoulties; and George P. MoCallum, president of tbe club; W. W. Watts, Eminent Corumauder of the Ann Arbor Knights Templar; Lew C. Goadrich, Grand Lecturer of tbe Michigan Grand Chapter, R. A. M. ; B 3. Rüpy, A. G. Lynds, L. A. Wilson, G. D. Edgar, Messrs. Kinney, Wheeler, Notley, Harley and Dr. Wright were also called npon and spoke briefly.
