The law requires that 20 days after election or before that date all candidatos for office at au eleotion shall file with the oounty clerk affldavits of the several anioutitü expended by tham during sach oarnpaign. Chairmen of county comtuittees are also reqaired to file affidavits of the expenses of the oommittee. So far only seven of these affidavits have been filed, all of -wbioh are republicans exoept one. ; Chairman VV. VV. Wedemeyer, of the repnblican connty committee, states that the total expenditures of the committee during the past carupaign were $1,315.72. Win. H. .Rehfuss, oandidate on the game ticket for oouuty treasurer, spent $50; George A. Cook, candidate for register of deeds, 6pent $120; Harris Ball, candidate for corouer speut nothingi Andrew Campbell, for state senator, spent $100; Orla E. Butterfield, for circait court oornruissionür, spent f5. With the exception of the affidavit of Henry Conlin, democratie nominee for circuit court commissiouer, who pent $5, none of the democrats have as yet filed their affidavits. Nov. 23 is tba last day on wbich they can be filed to comply with the law so it wiJl be necessary for the others to get a move on them.
