The Milán vinion school house is growing to be a thing of beauty. Th8 village ball is nearly ready foi the roof. Diok Eastlick is home from Chelsea Mr. and Mrs. Page Tewkesbury and daugbter have moved into their house on Wabash st. Misa Eva M. Ross, of Monroe city has rented part of the Palmer & Clark millinery store and will sell dress patterns at reduced rates. Mrs. Moorman and sou George, o: Ridgeway, were the guests of Mrs. Lucy Clark, Saturday. Rev. Mr. Armstrong, of Monroe, preached at the Milan Baptist ohuroh, Sunday morning and evening. Rev. J. P. Hutohinson, of Ann Arbor, is giving the Milan people some grand sermons, and he draws a ful) house and holds his audienoes. Mrs. Friese returned to her home in Memphis, Mich., ïnesday, af ter a two months' sojourn with her cousins, Dr. and Mrs. Mesic. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Watts, of Ann Arbor, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Whitmarsh. The Presbyterian ladies iDdulged in a bow scoial at the residenue of Mrs. E. W. Blackmer Tuesday eveniug and had a good time. Mrs. Keoster and children left for Texas last week. Mrs. Alderman and daughter Mai, of Ann Arbor, spent Snnday with Milan frieuds. Clayton Allea, of the Anu Arbor high school, spent Suuday with his parents, Mr. aad Mrs. Rosooe Allen. The b3lmy days of fall are in Milau this week. ' Miss Mand Aniba leturned the. last of the week from a flve weeks' sojonrn at Mt. Clemens. Died of typhoid fever, Nov. 11, Miss Bessie Case, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Case. Funeral services were held at the house next day, Rev. F. O. Jones officiatiug. Milan is infested with tramps who have íestored confidence that they will have the extreme pleasure of tramping for many weeks to come, McKiuley, president, notwithstanding. The shippiug of snip timber has started up agaiu this fall. The M. E. ladies held théir tea social at the residence of Mrs. Wallaoe on E. Main st., Wednesday evening. Mrs. W. F. Stevens in doing as nioely as could be exoepted with her sprained ankle. Mrs. Craae will open dressmaking rooms at Mis? Simpson's house ou Main st.
