Comrades W. H. Fisher and W. K. Childs, of this city, have returned frorn Detroit and the rennion of the Ninth Infantry and report a most enjoyable time. The rennion covered two days, Wednesday and Tbtirsday, and bronght together 68 of tbe old boys, niany of tbeni with thair wives and daughters. Wednesday afternoon the comrades were right royally entertained at the elegant residence of Col. H. M. Dnffield, wbo was au adjutant in the regiment. A bangquet and camp fire at the assembly rooms in the eveiiing lasted until a late hour. Tbnrsday forenoon Came the business meeting and electlon of officers. General John J. Parkhurst wa chosen Hfe president. Frotn 10 a. m. to 1 p. m. the ooropany enjoyad a free ride about the city by vpay of three special street cars. The rennion was one of the happiest the regiment has ever held, owing largely to the, Detroit members and friends.
