E. F. Mills has been in Chicago thin week buying holiday goods. Miss Emma E. Bower has been in Louisville, Mo., the past week. N. J. Kyer is away on a business trip to Baltimore and Washington. Prof. Carl C, Parsons, lit '96, of Detroit, was in town over Sunday. Miss Ruth Durheim spent Saturday and Sunday with friends in Detroit. Miss Jerusha Smith, of Milan, ie 3pending a few weeks in Ann Arbor. Mrs. Taggert is entertaining her Saughter, Mrs. Blackford, of Missoari. Mrs. S. Secord, of Kalamazou, is visiting Mrs. "P. W. Mingay for a few 3ays. Miss Florence A. Sterrett is in Kalamazoo for a few days, visiting relatives. Secreary J. A. Benz, of the Young Mens' Christian Association, is on the sick list. Mr. and Mrs. Edward V. Seyler have moved into their new house on Thompson st. Miss Nettie Spafford, of Bockford, [II., is visiting Mrs. J. D. Boylan, on N Fifth ave. Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Beal, of Detroit, are the guests of their son-in-law H. A. Williams and family. B. F. Gooding and family, of Saline, will soon remove to this city and take up their residence. There is a promise of marriage between Frank Ratti and Mary V. Schiappacasse. - Catholic Witness. Michael Staebler is so far recovered from his severe attack of illness that he js able to be downstairs again. Mrs. Huil, of Hamburg, bas been spending the week with her mother, Mrs. Edmunds, of W. Huron st. Major Harrison Soule, treasurer of the university, is in the north woods on his annual hunting expedition. E. S. Votey, of the Farrand fe Votey Organ Co., of Detroit, was the guest of Prof. A. A. Stanley Friday evening. Miss Ida Cleasler, of Bridgewater Station, bas been the guest of Miss Laura Armbruster, of E. Washington st. , tbis week. Mrs H S. Picgree and daughter. of Detroit, spent Tuesday afternoon and evening in Ann Arbor as guests at ttíe Alpha Delta Phi house. JVlrs. James Henning, of Washington. D. C, and her niece, Miss M. B. Graham, are the gaests of Mrs. Charles Tripp, of 63 E. Hurón street. L. A. Dietrick, advance agent of the Johnson Comedy Co., which plays at the opera house all next week, is in the city on business pertaining to the interests of his company. Among the Dexter citizens who saw Richard Mansfield in "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" at the opera house Wednesday uight, were Dr and Mrs. B. B. floney. Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Quish, Mr. and Mrs. L. L. James, Mr. and Mrs. J. Thompson and Mr. H. D. Stannard and lady.
