At the meeting of the boarrl oí directors of the Yonng Men's Christiau Assooiation bld Taesday evening, Nov. 11, the following resoluüou waspassed: "Resolved, That unless the volunteer contributions to the general expeuse fund are sniScient to warrant the outlay, that the association dispense with the servioes on Dec. lst, of the General Secretary. " Thia aotion has become necessary because of the inability of the direotors to secure pledges, and their determination not to ask of auy person a seoond ofïering dnring the year. The direcitors refnse to allow the association to run in debfc, and if this work is kept np for the balance of this year, the good people of Ann Arbor must come to the rescne. It should be understood, however, that with the beginning of the year 1897, the board will resume the work in f uil, and ask of ttiefriends of the assooiation their support to carry it forward as usual. This aotion is taken in order to keep ont of depbt. Can't you, dear reader, help tbe association a little in closing up the year's work?
