From the report of the auditor for the post office department for the year onding June 30, 1890, it is seen tbat ihere are thirteen postoffices in Michigan wbose receipts were over $20,000 each, during the year. Ano Arbor, with receipta of $32, 552.35, stauds ninth in the list, being exceeded by Detroit, Grand Rapids, Kalaruazoo, East Saginaw, Lansing, Jackson, Battle Creek and Bay City, whicb rank in the order narned. Bay City and Anu Arbor head the list of second class offices, Bay City exceeding Ann Arbor by only aboat $400. Ann Arbor's receipts were $33,552.35, then follows Port Huron with $29, 489. 91, next in order is Flint witb $22,213.35 receipts. AdriaD with reoeipts of $21,377.18 and Mnskegon with $20,879.51. All the otber offices f all below the $20,000 mark. Ypsilanti's receipts were $14,880, Chelsea $3,788.92 and Manchester $2,323.15. Afte..' paying all expenses, the Ann Arbor office netted the government $13,735.3(5; Ypsilanti, $4,757.90; Cbelsea, $2,024.04; Mnacbester, $1,082.07.
