Suicide Of A Prison Superintendent

Philadelphia, Nov. 24. - Howard. Perkins, superintendent of the Philadelphia county prison, committed suicide Tuesday in a room in the prison by shooting himself in the head. He had been t a suff erer from insomnia for a long time and is supposed to have been insane. He was 62 years old and had been superintendent of the prison for nineteen years.
