Early Firday morning a througb freight train on the Ana Arbor road was wrecked at a poiut about tbreeqaarters of a mile nortb of Elsie. Jnst before the train reached the bridge over the gully at Harrnon's creek, an axle broke but the train eonld not be stopped in time, and 12 cars, loaded with ooal, merobaudise and oil, were thrown down an ernbankment. Tlie Standard Oil Co. 's tanks were smashed, the loss on the oil being estimated at $4,000. The bridge over the reek mast be reboilt. The eutire luss is entimated at $12,000. Nuuo of the train crew were iujared.
