F. Leonard is badly afflicted with rheumatism. C. L. Clark now has a fine hack service at your service. Snow. beautiful snow, is with ns at tbs present writing. The air is full of light fantastic talk. You see dancing school commences this week. The churches are making elabórate arrangements for Christmas programs and presen ts for the Sunday sohool scholars. Attorney G. R. Williams, who was quite ill last week, is out again. Dr. A. Mesic has returned from his Cornnua sojourn. The Presbterian bazaar was a success in every way Saturday afternoon and evening. Prof. Ferris, of the Ferris sohoo), will be the next spaeker on the lecture course. Rev. J. Ward Stone and wife will spend Christmas with their son at Kalamazoö. J. C. Rouge left Monday for a short visit with Lodi friends. J. Sprague, of Aan Arbor, spent Friday with his daughter, Mrs. G. R. Williams. Miss Susie Knigbt is clerking in the bank in the place of Milton Hack, who is qaite ill. Miss Edna Zimmerman has returned from her Ann Arbor sojourn. Prof. and Mrs. C. M. Fuller, of Mooreville, spent Saturday with Milon friends. Mr. and Mrs. A. McIntyre and son, of Mooreville, made a business call in Milan Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Markham, of Ann Arbor, were the guests of Attorney and Mrs. G. R. Williams Sunday. Mrs. J. Bray is visiting her son in Delroy. Otto Bennett, of Ann Arbor, was in Milan the last of the week seeing about some needed improvements to his village property. The Junior League entertainment at the residence of Mrs. R. Tngersol, Friday evening, was a grand success. Miss J. Smith has returned from her Ann Arbor visit. The M. E. ladies held their tea social at the residence of Mrs. James Gauntlett, on E. Main st. , Wednesday afternoon. The K. of P. will give a grand ball, reception and banquet Jan. 1, 1897. This will be their first effort in that line and no pains will be spared to make it a success.
