Many stories havo been told abont the mistakes made by greenhorn telegrapberg, but one of the worst we ever heard was that made by a young man who had received bis diploma at a telegraph college. Hepassed an examination and was assigned a position, and the very first night cansed a bad wreek. He received orders to put out his red light and give orders to conductor of No. 77 to meet No. 62 at M , and he obeyed this important message by blowing out the light and letting No. 77 go by unsignaled, andthen bewondered why the conductor did not stop to gethis orders.
