Dr. and Mrs. Pyle retnrned from their Anu Arbor trip. Grand masked ball at Gay's opera honae Uhristmas night. Mrs. Charles Clark and motber have retornad from their eastern visit. A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to the Ann Arbor Argus. The M. E. society will have an interestin g program and a Christmas tree. Mr. and Mr. Ransom Rose, of Saline, spent Sunday with Milan friends. The Baptist sooial at the residence of Dr. and Mrs. Chapin was a success JTriday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Miley, of Dexter, will entertain gnests from Milan and Ypsilanti, Christmas. This is Christmas week and the merehants are rnshed with cnstomers looking at and pnrchasing goods. Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Zirnmermann entertained B. Brown, from Boston, Mass., the last of the week. Attorney and Mrs. G. R. Williams will entertain Prof. and Mrs. C. M. Fnller, of Mooreville, Christmas. The L. O. T. M. Hive is growing in nnmbers. At the last meeting there were eight new oandidates initiated. The new dynamo is a great improvement over the old one. The eleotric lights are stronger and there are more of them. The Presbyterians will have a snow house with a big chimney aDd a geuuine Santa Clans. There will also be an interesting program. The Baptist society will treat tbe Sunday sohool ohildren to a Dntch windmill and Santa Claus will grind out the presenta for the ohildreu. There ■will be a fine program in which the Brownies will take an active part. The O. E. S. ladies will have an elabórate banquet Tuesday evening to be served in toe oorner store of the Blackiner Block, f rom 5 to 7 o'clook. Everyone is invited to the banquet and Bocial Tnesday evening. The Masonic lodges will be here from Dundee, Bellerille, Saline and other places.
