Paris, Dec. 22. - Ferdinand de Lesseps, one of the younger sons of the creator of the Suez canal, and who is serving as a subaltern officer in the Thirteenth chasseurs, has just fought a duel with a fellow officer of his regiment at Beziers, which resulted in his running his saber through the lungs of his adversary, who suecumbed a few hours later. It is understood that the encounter originated in a slighting remark passed by the dead man upon the father of young De Lesseps.
