Married Fifty Years

January 20, 1847 - just 50 years ago today - Alvin Mead and Miss Margaret Oharlton were married in Outarin connty, New York. Seven years later tbey moved to Michigan and settled oq the farm in Ypsilanti town on vrhat is now the electric line. Wednesday their friends aurprised thenj and helped celebrata their golden wedding. Mr. Mead was presented with a pair of gold spect ,oles and Mra. Mead with a pin and gold thimble.
