New York Village Destroyed

Utiea, N. Y., Jan. 6.- The village of Poland, Herkimer county. was nearly destroyed by fire Tuesday morning. At 2 a. m. the llames were uncontrolled, and the vülagers had no means of fighting them. Asaistanee was summoned 'rom Ilerkimer. The loss was estimated at $50,000 at that time.
