The Washington correspondence in the Detroit Tribune of Tuesday. oontained the following paragraph : "Among some Michigan letters urgiug hiru to support the ratification of the arbitration treaty witb Great Britain, Senator McMillan tbis morning fonnd tnree f rom Ann Arbor which were of more than ordinary interest. One was irom President Angel], of the U. of M., who among other things said : 'I think the treaty might perhaps have provided for a simpler machinery, but I can't gee bow it is dangerous. ' Joel A. Miner's long letter contained this pertinent paragcaph : 'You know that the enate has been a great trial to soberrainded men in the last few years, A failnre to grasp this opportnnity to do a redeeming act wouid stamp it as given over bopelessly to petty, malignant and fooli8h jingoism.' Noab W. Cneever doesn't tbink the treaty all tbat oonld be desired, bot hopes it will be ratified. "
