Miss Blanohe Stark has gone to Cincinnati, O., for a few weeks' visi t with her father. Jessie Khnble entertained a nnmber of her friends at her horne Tnesday eveuing, which was eujoyed by all present. Miss Margaret Blosser, who has been visiting witb Mr. and Mrs. T. Blnsser, at Lansing, the past fonr weeks, has returned home. A langhable farce "Deestrick-Skule" was given at Arbeiter hall, Wednesday evening. The oharacters were citizens oL our town, who dressed like boys and girs of 50 years ago. The Alpha Sigma has an interesting meeting Monday evening. The debate "Resolved. That education has a greater influenoe on oharacter tlian nature.," was decided in favor of the negative. The remains of Mrs. S. Ancliff, who died in Antf Arbor on Monday, -were brcugbt, here for bnrial Wednesday. Tbe mernbers of the W. R. C. and G. A. R. attended the funeral. She was a member of the W. JR. C.
