Minneapohs, Feb. 16. - Joseph H. Thompson was Monday evening elected treasurer of the city of Minneapolis to succeed A. C. Haugan, resigned. Mr. Thompson is a successful business man, a milüonaire, and a resident of the city since 1856. He is a native of Maine and is 63 years of age. He will file a personal bond of $200,000 and a security company bond of $500,000 and take charge of the office at once.
