Marinette, Wis., Maroh 2. - Guy Morris, William Loveless and Selma Godke, boys about 16 years of age, were arrested here by Sheriff Hitchon. charged witli robblng the United States mail. They admitted their guilt. They entered the postoffice from the front door. which was open, and whilè the postal employés were all away climbed over the partition of boxes. They secure about forty letters from various boxes. These they afterward opened and then shoved down a sewer manhole. It is known that there were $2,450 in two of the letters addressed to the Marinette Bów company in the form of checks. The boys refuse to say how much mcney there was in the other letters, but it is supposed that the amounts were quite heavy and the aggregate money stolen may be over $3,000. The postoffice inspedjfcr has been wired and a thorough mvestigation will be conducted. The robbery may prove more exetnsive than nov known, as the boys may have been dciug this work for some time past. It was only by accident that the robbery was discovered. Two of the boys are sons of respectable citizens.
