Oae of the most interesting events of the theatrical seaswi is annonnced for the Graurl oprea liOTise one night, Tuesday, Marob 0, ia Caflwell's big produotion "A Romanee of Coon Hollow" with the same scenery and effects used during its triurnphant season at the Fourteenth Street Theatre, New York. All of the scenery and effeots are oarried, and besides a strong oompany the organization includes the Coon Hollow saienaders, a troupe of colored singers and dancers, boys and girls, two qoartfittes and a plantation brass band. Uniqne electrio and calcium displays are also features, but the play depends rather on vigorous plot andwell portrayed characters true to uature, than its suenic features. It has been a great sucoess in all the leading cities, east and west. The great steamboat race up the Misaissippi between the rival stearaboats R. E. Lee and Natchez, is graphioally reproduced in this play. The view giveu is just as the Lee is passing the Natchez at uigbt, the two boats being beautifully lit up and vomitiug forth flames, smoke and steam. A plantation brass band and group of siugers and dancers celébrate the occasion.
