At the regular meeting of the Wnmau's Cbristian Temperance Union beid last week, 2 ladies vveie present. In additioD to the visual order of business the correspouding secretary was instructed to send for a copy of Jessie Aokerman's new book eutitled "A jonrney through Ioeland" to be added 'to the library of the society. Fifteen ladies pledged to pay 10 oents each for the reading of it. Committees were appointed to arrange for the observance of the 93d anniversary of the birthday of Neal Dow which will oocur Mar. 20. On that day, not only all temperauoe societies, but altso the great Christian Enaeavor society will join iu honoring tbe grand old man of America.
