Semi-centennial Of The Congregational Church

Fifty years ago tbis montb the First Gongregational cburch of this city was organized. The members of the choroh and society propose to celébrate the semi-centinnial anniversary by appropriate exeicises. On Saturday eveDing, Marcb 27, a, supper will be served in the Snnday school room of the chnrch, and brief speeches will be made by representa tives of tbe original membership of the cburch and by others. It will be necessary to limit the attendauce at tbe supper to members of the cbnrch and to gnests invited by the committee of arrangements. On Sunday morning, March 23, a historical address will be iven in the cbnrch by the pastor, Dr. J. W. Bradshaw. In the afternoon at 4 o'olock, tbe commanion service will be held. Iu tbe evening at 7 :30 o'clock, a sermón will be preached by the former pastor, Rev. Dr. W. H. Ryder, of the Andover Theological Seminary. It is possible that Rev. Dr. H. L. Hubbell, a former pastor, now of Lake Charles, Lonisiana, Will be present and take some part in the exercises. To all the services on Snnday the pnblic will be cordially invited.
