The extreme high water in the river cansed by the reoent heavy rains'and thaw has been causing the Argo MUIing Co. considerable uneasiness tbe past few daya, as in times past tbe compauy has rnst with severe losses throngh the dam being oarried away. Tnesday night some cakes of ice carne down and broke several of the standards leading to the waste wier, bnt doing no fnrther damage. At six o'olock yesterday morning the water was np to the high water mark and at ten o'olock it had only gone down threequarters of an incb. At Delhi the Kyer Milling Co. 's raill duin was affected in mnch the saine way, but nothing more than the usnal damage that comes froni high water resnlted. The river is the highest at Ypsilanti that it has been in years. Tnesday night the water poured uver the bulkhead of the Peninsular dam and Wednesday morning it tore a hole in tbe dam of the city water works aud about 4,000 yards of earth in rear of Bachelder & Ainawsorth's mili was washed away, At Eawsouville tbe water washed oot the flnine of the old dam whioh has made ttaree families ricb, ent out 40 feet of the embankment and nndermined the sawmill an-1 wooleu mili. Tuesday the sawmill feil over into the stream and the woolen mili is on tbe verge of doing tbe same thing.
