The Amet Magniscope proved au attraotion wbich attraoted at Salisbury's last evening. Althongh there have been severa] auimated picture machines here this season, the one now exhibitiug here is undoubtedly the best of the lot. This wonderfal machine is the marvel of the age, and the one used here is the best of its kind. The lealism of all of tbe views is almost inoreditble. One never beoomes tired of watching tbe "poetry of motion," in raen and animáis, shown in snch infinite variety by this matchless machine. There is entertainment in it for all classes of people - for the giave and the gay, for yontb and for oíd age - for people of all sorts aud of all oonditions. The facility with which this intricate mecbanical wonder js uianaged is not the least interesting thing about it. But the Amet Magnisoope furnished only part of the entertainment. A no inconsiderable part of the amusement is furuished by a phonograpb of wondarful power, and last but not least, that part of the show farnished by tbe dexterity and skill of Cari DeVaro, is worth more than the price of admissiou oharged for the whole show. Mr. De Varo's slack wire performances are the equal of those of any performer in the country. His performances with the rifle seem impossible of aobievement. He is not only an adept in all the fancy trick shots of the ordinary professional but his achievements with a gun, while balancing himeelf on a slack wire, surpasses anythiug ever attempted before the public. At the Grand opera house, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings of next week, March 22, .23 and 24.
