After cnsiderable tngging and hauling the horse was extricated froru its predicament, and the wagon was eventually recovered also. Ont in the country the roads are also simply terrible. It took a gentleman 7% hours to drive from Teoutnseh to this city last Friday. On Saturday it took G. E. Peteis nearly foor hours to come froin his home in Soio and he did not attempt to drive back bnt took the train home. Everyüody is of the same opinión that traveling was never so bad for rnany a year as it is this spring.
