The Sewing School Entertainment

The entertainment given at High Sobool hall last Friday evening for the i Dsneflt of Miss Brown's sewing school was a very meritorious oue iu spite of : ;he defection of two of tbose wbo were : to take part in the program. There was a veiy fair andience present considering the rainy weather and to judge by their apylause those present Eully enjoyed the progarm. The Ann Albor Mandolín trio played some nice ' selections, Miss Cora Mincks sang a oouple of plantation songs very : ingly and Miss Clarabel McMonagle ] and Miss Nellie Mingay gave some ' good readiags. The best number of the evening was the dramatic scène between these two young ladies entitled, "Fasfc Priends. " Their acting of the chraoters of the two friends was fine, and in that part of the scène where the [adies get angry witb eaoh other tbeir aoting was particalarly realistic. The entertainment was under the management of Mijs MoMonagle.
