A Secret Society Predicament

One of the secret society lodges in Ypsilanti a couple of weeks ago got into a coniplication from wbich it was hard to extricate itself. Tbejhigh-monkey-monk was absent dnring the last regular meeting, but supposed that a oouple of petitions had been acted on favorably and tbrough the oarelessness of the officers and menabers the petitioners were prepared for the degrees. The high monkey-monk appeared at the lodge roome and prooeeded to instrnct the petitioners on riding the goat. After having become expert riders it was fonnd that they had never been formally elected to ride, and the officers were in a quaudary what to do.
