Place For An Illinois Man

Washington, April 6.- Thomas Needies of Illinois will soon be appointod a member of the Dawes Indian commission, which is engaged in negotiations on the part of the government wilh the five civilized tribes in Indian territory. Mr. Needies was an applicant for appointment as commissioner of Indian affairs, but this place will bs gíven to A. W. Jones of Mineral Point, Wis.
