Missouri Changing Its Channel
Omaha, s'eb., April 13.- The Missouri river is changlng Hs ehannel past Omaha, and in doing so threatenes to de stroy property i" the valué of several million dollars. Monday night the river broke through its banks about a mile above where it left the oíd channel twenty years ago, and is running two broad streams across what were fertile market gardens. These streams run into Florence lake, a relie of a former cut off. From Florence lake the water is pouring into Cut Off lake and it now seems only a question of a few hours uni.il Iast Omaha is moved into Towa and all the property in line of the flood is swept away.
