A party f rom Aun Arbor hasopened up a oakery at Saline. Mis. E. W. Wallace, of Saline, is visiting her daugbter in Guaitanooga, Tenn. Fred Nissly, Ralph Isbell and Don Lawrence are Saline peoplt; vuo nde lew bicycles. Saline has organized a ball team with Ld Ilauser uiunager ai.U VVii] Üaruard captain. ïhe reaaiug circle of Saline met with Prof. Austin last Saiurü.iy and ndulged in a candy spread. A runaway horse at Saline last Monlay juoipeu through a barbed wire ence and was badly cut up. Saline seniors have voted to have class day but cannot üecide whether or not to have a speaker also lor eoinmencement. The Saline Junior Ex. was a big success, surpassing tüose of the past in point of actendance. All paris of the jrograni were heartily received. The class uetted $28, receipts $38. Herbert Wheeler was called to Bos,ou last week by the aickness of his ather, but was immediately called back by his wife's rapid failiug. His aiher died Saturday and he left Weduesday morning tor Boston. Dr. Wheeler, ït is uuderstood, is worth )5ü0,0üü and Herbert Wheeler is the ouly heir. There were two deaths at Saline Friday, one Saturday, and one on Sunday. Williaai .Liudsley and Mrs. Tucker died friday and were buried Sunday. The reaiains of the latter were taken to Grass Lake. Isaac Hume died Saturday and was buried Tuesday. Mrs. Herbert Wheeler died bunday morning af ter a lingering i!lness. The funeral was held Tuesday at the house aud she was buried at the Saline cemetary.
