Mrs. Lewis Laflin is suffering from an attack of the mumps. The P. U. S. S. has purchased $20 worth of new books for their library. Koy Coleman, of Detroit, spent hi vacation with his sister, Mrs. J. Cady Gilchrist Chalnrers and Porter Moore have purchased wheels for the coming season. Austin Smith has rented the Caspe Rinsey property on the motor line and has moved thereon. The O. N. O. Club will meet with Miss Alice Begole tomorrow evening, April 24. A number of young people of this place attended the Easter party given ty Arbor Tent, No. 296, Ann Arbor, Monday evening. Several of the young people attmded the play, "The Courtship of Miles Standish," at high school hall, Ypsilanti, Tuesday evening. The surprise party given to Mr. anc Mrs. Tom Johnston was well attended All report a good time, although we cannot say Mr. and Mrs. Johnson were entirely surpnsed. We would like to ask John H. to solve the following problem: "Is it cheaper to hire a livery or own a wheel?" -We" would judge it would be cheaper to own i wheel, provided it was a "tandem." The marriagn of Miss MayPlattand Mr. Gilhert Howe occurred at the home of the bride's parents, Mr and Mrs. H. D. Platt, April 12. They have the best wishes of their many friendsfor their future happiness.
